Preload dates and times
Rockstar’s November 3 update sets digital preloading for November 10 and keeps the game’s launch on November 19. PS5 uses local midnight; Xbox Series X|S uses one global start, 00:00 GMT. Do not apply the PS5 rule to an Xbox account.
The publisher lists up to 212 GB for the preload, depending on the device. Code-in-box copies should begin reaching retailers on November 12. That retail date is separate from the digital preload start.
Xbox start times in the US, Spain and Latin America
The following conversions all describe the same global Xbox start. They use the local UTC offsets applicable on those dates, including US standard time. The table is not a PS5 countdown and does not give the game’s unlock time.

Prepare storage and downloading
Before the download window, check free space on the console you will use. Treat 212 GB as the announced upper figure, not a promise that every version, installation or later update has the same size. Read the console’s current requirement before deciding what to remove.
For planning, a 212 GB transfer at a sustained 100 Mbps takes about 5 h 26 min with our calculator’s 15% time allowance. At 300 Mbps, the same model gives about 1 h 49 min. These are decimal-GB calculations, rounded up to the next minute; network conditions and installation can change the real result.
Prepare automatic downloads before November 10
Rockstar’s FAQ says PS5 needs automatic downloads enabled and the console on or in Rest Mode. On Xbox, automatic updates must be enabled and the console on or in Sleep mode. Follow the platform instructions linked in the FAQ for your system’s current menus.
Check the purchasing account, the title in its library and available storage before leaving the console unattended. If you purchased a boxed code, first establish when the retailer can supply it: a retail availability date does not guarantee delivery to your door.
Launch poster and map
Rockstar plans a free printable cover-art poster and Leonida map download on its official site on November 19. A physical double-sided version is planned shortly after launch through its store; the announcement lists $0.99 separately or as a gift with a purchase. Check the store’s actual availability and delivery terms when it opens.
