Where the report comes from

The source is the r/PS5pro thread “News soon?” by u/Theolaitdoux. The author says references appeared on PlayStation’s French website between 3:00 and 3:20 AM the previous night, then disappeared or could no longer be found. We do not treat that window as an official timestamp or assign an unverified time zone.

The post includes an image and a translation supplied in the comments. This identifies the source of the circulating claim, but does not establish that the material was published on Sony’s servers. We have no official explanation of the alleged change.

What we know about PS5 Pro upgrades

The report names PSSR and advanced ray tracing. PSSR is Sony’s AI-based image reconstruction technology, intended to produce a sharper picture. If implemented in GTA VI, the useful test would be how clear the image remains in motion, rather than a single still image.

Ray tracing can improve how light behaves, including reflections and shadows. The shared wording mentions those alongside lighting. It does not establish which effects GTA VI would use, their quality or their cost to smoothness.

Sony already markets these as general PS5 Pro features. Seeing their names in a block attributed to GTA VI is interesting, but it could also fit a generic template. A game-specific explanation is still needed.

What we could verify on the current French page

On November 4 we could access PlayStation France’s GTA VI product page. It retains the PS5 Pro Enhanced label. The retrieved text lists familiar PS5 features including 3D audio, fast loading, haptics and adaptive triggers, but we found no PSSR or Atsu mention.

That describes the version we consulted; it does not reconstruct its history. It proves neither that a block previously existed nor that it was removed. The supported wording is that a user reports references they can no longer find, rather than that we verified a complete page takedown.

Does this confirm GTA 6 at 60 FPS on PS5 Pro?

No. The named features concern image reconstruction and lighting, and the report provides no verifiable 60 FPS promise. A clearer picture and smoother motion are different improvements; mentioning PSSR does not establish a performance target.

This also does not confirm a 40 FPS option, native 4K resolution or a definitive comparison with standard PS5. Those claims would require a game-specific technical announcement and, later, measurements of the version players receive.

What to wait for

Evidence that would change this story includes an identifiable Sony or Rockstar publication detailing GTA VI’s upgrades, or a reliable historical copy establishing the alleged text and date. Reposts of the same claim are not independent confirmations.

If GTA VI is your reason to buy a Pro, wait for concrete differences. For now, there is an official Pro Enhanced label and an unauthenticated community report. The latter is not enough on its own to justify replacing your console.
